All or nothing for #38

The season finale is waiting for Lance Isaacs Racing next weekend when the SuperGP Champions Trophy heads back for the second time this year to Delmas – Redstar Raceway Mpmulanga.

The 3rd place in the championship is theoretically still on the table for Lance Isaacs and he wants to grab the opportunity with both hands. In order to so, he needs to fight for a double win in a “all or nothing” strategy.

“I’ve had a lot of bad luck this year and as much as the results don’t show the real progress, we have come a lot closer to the leading pack of the field. At most of the tracks this year, we improved up to 1,5 seconds per lap on our Supabets / Sandton BMW Motorrad S1000RR. An accomplishment that we achieved by sheer hard work” Lance explains.

Redstar Raceway isn’t favouring the BMW S1000RR but this is a track that we have improved the most in this year. “Dean Ferreira has been able to set-up the Superbike to my riding style at each track we have gone to this year and we have opened avenues that were impossible last year.”

The clockwise direction of the track suits Lance’s riding style better and the team already have a base set-up prepared to “jumpstart” the weekend. It is crucial for Lance to preserve tyre wear and have a front-row qualifying on Friday. With a lot of local experts on the track, he wants to make sure he has a clear get away at both races on Saturday.
